1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions apply to the rental of holiday accommodation for the purpose of providing temporary accommodation to guests.
2. Booking
The booking of the holiday accommodation is concluded upon receipt of the booking confirmation sent to the guest following the online booking.
By making a booking, the guest accepts these General Terms and Conditions, the House Rules and the payment and cancellation conditions displayed on the Mariposa Holidays website.
3. Stay and House Rules
The holiday accommodation, its inventory and all facilities belonging to the property must be treated with care.
Use of the accommodation is limited to the guests stated in the booking. Subletting or allowing third parties to use the accommodation without prior agreement is not permitted.
The House Rules form part of the rental agreement. By making a booking, the guest agrees to respect and follow the House Rules throughout the stay.
In the event of a serious or repeated breach of these General Terms and Conditions or the House Rules, the landlord reserves the right to terminate the stay.
4. Pets
Pets are only permitted by prior agreement with Mariposa Holidays.
Guests bringing pets are responsible for ensuring that their animals do not disturb other guests on the finca at any time.
Any pet waste must be removed promptly and disposed of appropriately.
Guests are responsible for any damage caused by their pets and must inform Mariposa Holidays of any such damage as soon as possible. The cost of repairs or replacement may be deducted from the security deposit where applicable.
5. Use of the Property, Pool and Outdoor Areas
Guests use the holiday accommodation, swimming pool, terraces, outdoor areas and other facilities with appropriate care and responsibility.
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, particularly in and around the swimming pool.
Guests must follow any safety instructions and House Rules relating to the use of the property, pool and outdoor facilities.
The swimming pool and other facilities may only be used for their intended purpose. Guests must not interfere with pool equipment, pumps, technical installations or other equipment unless expressly authorised by Mariposa Holidays.
Guests are responsible for any damage caused intentionally, through misuse or through failure to follow the House Rules or safety instructions. Any damage must be reported to Mariposa Holidays as soon as possible. Where applicable, the cost of repair or replacement may be deducted from the security deposit.
6. Liability
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings during their stay and are advised to take reasonable care of valuables.
Mariposa Holidays is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings unless such loss or damage results from circumstances for which Mariposa Holidays is legally liable.
Nothing in these General Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
7. Payment
The guest agrees to the prices, payment terms and payment methods shown during the booking process and on the Mariposa Holidays website.
The applicable payment conditions form part of the booking agreement and must be respected by the guest.
8. Cancellation
The cancellation conditions displayed during the booking process and on the Mariposa Holidays website apply to the reservation.
By making a booking, the guest confirms that these cancellation conditions have been read, understood and accepted.
Any cancellation must be made in writing.
